DB Anchor Lift System

Economical and effective way to lift your concrete element. It's simple-to-use hardware makes installation easy for most any precast application.

The DB Anchor is manufactured from high-quality steel with a enlarged head, designed to mate with its corresponding lifting clutch. The anchor's head is clearly stamped with its Safe Working Load (SWL) for easy identification. Anchors are tested at a specified sampling rate to failure and examined for possible tolerance deviations.

Note: If the anchor is in a 10" wall and the Ta measures 4", then the critical wall thickness becomes 8" and the safe working load must be reduced to a 8" wall. Proper care must be taken to prevent misalignment of the anchor to achieve full SWL value.

The DB Lift Anchor must be located a minimum distance from the edge of the concrete element (see table on page 57 of catalog). Use a chair or tie the anchor to the reinforcement steel to assure proper positioning of the anchor.

The DB Eye Anchor is manufactured from high quality steel with a enlarged head, designed to mate with it’s corresponding lifting clutch. The anchors head is clearly stamped with it’s Safe Working Load (SWL) for easy identification. The rebar tension bar in conjunction with the anchor allows the anchor to develop the safe working loads displayed in this table.

The Bolt & Wing Nut Assembly provides a permanent attachment to your formwork. The threaded stud is not removable, therefore considerations must be taken prior to pouring and stripping of concrete element.

The DB Recess Former is made from high grade urethane rubber to provide improved tear and heat resistance. The reusable recess former provides ease of stripping in various applications.

Sizes range from 1, 2, 4, 8, and 16 ton configurations.

db lifting clutch

The DB Lifting Clutch is manufactured with a “T” slot, which enables the clutch to be easily attached to the head of the anchor. The DB Lift Clutch is designed to rotate 360° giving you the flexibility to lift, rotate, turn and tilt, while under a load.

User is responsible for regular inspections to determine excess wear, damage, overloading, misuse, modified units or other factors, which may affect the lifting capacity and performance.

Under no circumstances should the user modify, apply heat, weld, or grind any part of the lifting hardware.

two hole anchor

The two hole anchor is an effective way to strip and handle your concrete element from a tilt table. Its two-hole design allows for a tension bar to be added, increasing the capacity by transferring the load deep into the concrete element.

The two hole anchor is designed to be used in thin wall panels, where other anchors can’t be used in panels constructed with light weight concrete.

The Ring Lift Plate Anchor is designed with a plate welded to the bottom to provide high strength on low psi concrete thin wall elements. The plate area allows for additional reinforcement to be added increasing the anchor capacity.

The X-Foot Erection Anchor is designed for edge lifting to vertical and shear rotation in thin walled concrete elements. Safe working loads can be achieved while edge lifting thin wall panels with low psi concrete by utilizing a shear bar. The convex sides of the anchor provides proper placement of the shear bar.

While rotating, it’s recommended the sling angle be perpendicular to the surface. If the panel if rotating on it’s edge, the load can usually be factored by 0.5. During the phase of the lift, the anchors are not bearing the full weight on the panel.

The X-Foot Erection Anchor w/ Shear Plate is designed for lifting from horizontal to vertical in thin wall concrete elements. The shear plate replaces the need of a shear bar, making installation quick and easy.

During the tension phase of the lift, the erection anchor will work like a two hole anchor. There are two sets of data with regards to the tension bars. If the higher loads are desired, a tension bar should be placed through the lower hole of the anchor.

The 2.66:1 safety factor is a 2:1 safety factor, which is commonly used when back stripping, increased 33% to compensate for initial bond and impact. Additional increases due to unusual live loads or cable magnification may bee required for some applications.


Full embedment, reinforcement and a minimum compressive strength of 4,500 psi gives the 8-10 ton Sandwich Panel Erection Anchor a pullout strength equal to their ultimate mechanical strength if reinforced with 2 ea. #5 Rebar x 3’-6" bent on a 30° angle.
